AFIRE members have a common interest in preserving and promoting cross-border investment in real estate. Founded in 1988 AFIRE currently has more than 180 members representing 21 countries.
The AFIRE
Executive Committee formalized the policy for attendance
at AFIRE meetings. These policies were created to maintain
the standards and guidelines established by the AFIRE
bylaws. Members are encouraged to call the AFIRE office
if they have questions about the following policy.
Attendance is restricted to AFIRE
members and invited guests.
AFIRE membership is by company.
Each company has a designated primary delegate. The
primary delegate may attend AFIRE meetings complimentary.
Institutional and Supporting member primary delegates
may designate an alternate complimentary attendee
by notifying the AFIRE office.
Institutional member companies may bring up to three delegates to any conference or meeting. Associate and Supporting member companies may bring up to two delegates to any conference or meeting.
The AFIRE office or any AFIRE member
may invite prospects to any conference or Annual Membership
Meeting. However, attendance at an Annual Membership
Meeting by an Associate or Supporting member prospect
must be sponsored by an existing Institutional member
in writing to the AFIRE office.
A prospect may attend only
one Annual Meeting and one conference prior to joining
AFIRE. If a prospect does not join AFIRE after attending
two meetings, no individual from such organization
may attend additional meetings unless authorized by
the Executive Committee.
